The program was a musical presented by students from Bear River High School Robert Evans, Lyle Vance, demonstration on Christmas foods and decorations. Light refreshments will be served. The small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Udy was blessed by her father in sacrament meeting in the Second Ward Sunday and given the name of Marci Jo Udy. Following the meeting a dinner party was held at the Udy home. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Johnson and family, Mrs. Cora Nielson, Mrs. Barbara Madsen, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Nielson and family, Mr. and Mrs. David Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Porritt and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Hunsaker and family of Kelly Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Neal Udy and daughter of Bothwell, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Udy of Garland and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Nielson and family of Logan. Jim Didericksen of Center- - Shelly Lewis and Kathy Gam. They were accompanied by Kaylene Asbby. Special guests were Afton Campbell of Idaho Falls, Reva Skinner and Ethel Firth. Mrs. Hazel Buttars joined her sister, Mrs. Reva Blau of Roy and visited their father, Jess Buttars, in Logan Sunday. The Civic and Home Arts Tre-monto- n, Eost Garland Way ville, LaRall Thompson and son, Hollis of Thatcher, joined W. Lee Thompson Saturday and enjoyed pheasant hunting. Sunday the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Miller was blessed by bis father in the Second Ward sacrament meeting and given the name of Dustin Vernal Miller. Immediately following the meeting a dinner party was held at the Miller home. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Mix and Mrs. Dora Madsen of Jerome, Idaho; Max Ellis of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Byron Larson and family of Price; Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Madsen and family; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller and family and Mr. and Mrs. Mart Anderson and family of Garland. Gathering at her home for the party were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Macfarlane, Riverside; Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Johnson, Bothwell; Melanee Bingham, Brigham; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pett and family of Brigham; Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Macfarlane and Kristi and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gardner of Deweyviile. A lovely turkey dinner and a beautiful birthday cake was served to all. Spending the weekend visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Goodey in Clarkston, were Bart and Kevin Gardner. Also visiting with the Goodeys on Sunday was the Robert Gardner family. The family celebrated Mr. Goodey's birthday. Kathy Birch and (laughter, Shantelle, from Wyoming, have been visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jay ' Lish. In Sacrament Meeting Sunday, Miss Sharie Marble was confirmed a member of the LDS Church by her father, Steven Marble.Also, two infant boys received their names. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Neal Hess was given the name of Kirk Hess by his uncle, Doyle Hess. The son of Brian and Becky Burbank was given the name of Brett Burbank by his father. Visitors at the Burbank home on Sunday were Mrs. Vera Adams and daughters, Johns, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Bell and Daryl Bell, all of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Derrell Rudd and family of Salem were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Rudd Sunday. Jeff Rudd of Rock Springs, Wyo. spent the weekend with them also. Oleen Vanderhoof of Boise, Ida. spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Vanderhoof. Saturday they spent the day in Ogden. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Mont Archibald of Tremonton and Mr. and Mrs. Don Vanderhoof of Plymouth, joined them all for Sunday dinner at the Ed Vanderhoofs. Friday Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Petersen accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bourne to Vernal to attend the marriage of David Bourne and Peggy Lynn Johnson. Others going to Vernal were Mrs. Alice Booth, Honey ville; Kathy, Kristie, Tommy and Holly, all of Robert, West Fielding. They all spent the night in Vernal, returning home Saturday. They went especially to attend the baptism and confirmation of their granddaughter, Cami Dawn Knudsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Knudsen. Happy Birthday, everyone! Garland Man Is Promotod Show Travels The cast in the Portage road show traveled to the different wards in Malad Stake Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Each ward in the stake presented their shows in our ward Wednesday night to a large and responsive audience. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bell and family of Plymouth attended Sacrament Meeting here Sunday where they had their infant daughter blessed. The little ones, uncle, Grant Bell, gave her the name and blessing. The name chosen by her parents was Jenny Rae. Following the meeting Mr. and Mrs. Arvel Bell hosted a Sunday dinner for all their family members. Guests were Mr. - and Mrs. Gary - Bell ' and -- f amilyof Plymouth ; Mr. and Mrs. Grant Bell of Ogden; Mrs. Esther John and Darrell Bell of Willard. Phil Harris and children, Janet and Bradley of Salt Lake City were Friday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Harris. They visited Saturday and then returned to their home. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ward of Idaho Falls brought Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley home to visit over the weekend at their home. Mr. ami Mrs. Conley are living in Idaho Falls for the winter. Nelsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel C. Nelsen of Garland, to the rank of first lieutenant. Lt. Nelsen is serving at Beale AFB, Calif., as a Hupp and children of Hansel Valley and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Morris were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Yarman and fam- ily of Clearfield. Mr. and Mrs. J. Floyd John of Perry were guests of Mr. John's mother, Mrs. Esther John Wednesday and Thursday. Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Thelma D. Wilson, 13, 2773 Hartford St., Salt Lake City, suffered a broken collar bone Saturday when the vehicle he was riding in hit a small embankment and overturned on a road at the north end of Little Mountain. Following the baptism on Saturday and her confirmation on Sunday, Lisa Shaffer and the Kenneth Shaffer families gathered at the Dan Shaffer home Sunday afternoon for a potluck dinner in honor of the occasion. There were 40 members in attendance, including grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Potter, Garland; Mrs. Mabel Oyler, Tremonton; and Dora Shaffer and Naoma Atkinson of Logan.
