Good Cook's Corner Red Box Elder County Cross will sponsor a home nursing instructor trainer's Cooking's Easy And Fun This weeks "Good Cook," Mrs. Edna Steed of Plymouth, thinks it's both easy and fun to cook. Mrs. Steed says she likes to cook "anything and everything." She especially enjoys cooking fried chicken, cakes and pies, but will cook anything her family enjoys. Edna believes in following a basic recipe up to a certain point and then giving it the taste test If it doesn't taste right, she just adds different ingredients until it has a "just-righ- t" flavor. Mrs. 'Steed comes from a large family; of eight and was the oldest girl, so the responsibility of cooking fell to her most of the time. It was at this time that she gained her cooking experience. Edna cans and bottles every summer. Corn, beans, pickles, and peaches are among the many things she preserves each year. She does her canning and bottling at home because she believes it saves a lot of time and work. Gardening is one of her hobbies and she raises most of her produce at home. Her opinion is that having a garden is a a great convenience as well as an 3Conom-- i , MIA in the MIA organization as a taught Junior Sunday School course for Registered Nurses, ft will be given at the Health Center, School July 7 from 8 to 5.
