He graduated from Provo high in 1935 and received his AB from Brig-ha- m Young University in 1941, graduating with honors with a mjaor in English and Journalism. He received his PhD from Stanford University in 1951 in English. He has written for several publications and headed sev- eral professional organizations. He is listed in the Directory of American Airs. Scholars and Who's Who in America. Professor Booth f h " The head of the English Department at Utah State University will address the local Credit Women International chapter on the subject of letter writing at their next meeting. Professor T.Y. Booth will speak to the women's group July 10 at 7:30 a.m. at the Golden Spike dining room. Miss Carol Allison Trayer became the bride of James R. Orwin in a noon ceremony on June 5 at the Logan LDS temple. The marriage was performed by Lloyd Hunsaker, president of the temple. and Mrs. David M. Mr. Trayer of Florence, Alabama, are the parents of the bride, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean V. Orwin of Tremonton. The bride was attired in a traditional gown of organza over taffeta featuring an empire bodice accented with Brussels lace, a lace covered stand-u- p collar, and full bishops sleeves ending in wide lace cuffs. The back was accented by a wide org James Orwin bow at the waist, and anza the bell-shap- skirt was ed bordered with a lace ruffle at the hem, and had a short train. Her cathedral length veil was of organza edged with lace, and fell from a lace bandeau headpiece. She carried a cascade bouquet of mixed multicolored flowers, accented in pink. Matron of honor was Mrs. Phillip Smith of Decatur, Alabama. Bridesmaids were Misses Cathy Trayer and Dianne Trayer, sisters of the bride. The attendants were attired in pink and white flocked organza posed over pink crepe featuring a square neckline, full puffed sleeves, and a wide ruffle at the hem. The following Friday an open house will be held at the residence of the groom's parents. Miss Peterson is a graduate of Bear River high school, and a four year LDS Seminary graduate. She attended Ricks college where she received her degree in Secretarial Science and Bus- - iness. Mr. Thomas is a graduate of South Summit high school and a four year Seminary graduate. He attended Utah state university where he majored in Theater Arts. He fullfilled an LDS mission to Ireland.
