Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Allen of Collinston, has graduated with, honors at Sheppard AFB, Te ju, from the U.S. Air Force aircraft mechanics course. The airman, now trained to maintain and service reciprocating engine aircraft and aircraft systems, Is being assigned to Luke AFB, Ariz.. for duty with the Tactical: Air Command which provides combat units for air support of U.S. ground forces. He Is a 1968 graduate of Twin Bridges (Mont) High School and attended Utah State University. ' YwA - 1 0 By JENY WOOD The Paul Fonnesbecks and quite a few of us had some excitement Wednesday when a fire broke out on their dry farm, about noon, ft seems that Paul was underneath the combine doing some welding, when sparks from the welding torch were carried into the dry grass nearby. He didn't realize this until he had taken the welding hod off his head and then he could hear the crackling of the dry grass burning. He tried to put the fire out and could have done so, had not a slight breeze come up and carried the fire on to more dry areas, ft was about 1:15 when my husband. Earl, and I noticed the smoke and summoned help. When we arrived the building, that included a house and garage, were completely burned to the ft then had spread ground, into a wheat field that hadn't been harvested. Before fire guards could be made, about two and a half acres were destroyed. A granery was left untouched. Paul managed to get the combine out of the way or lt would hare up in flames, flames. Martin Groner returned home with them for a visit Orsen Hyden attended a bridal shower Friday in honor of Mrs. Hyden's niece, Miss La Nez Larkin, that was held at the home of Mrs. Grant Hafler of Ogden. Mary Hyden was honored in sacrament meeting Sunday evening for 25 years of service in the Primary and was awarded a pin. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Grant left Sunday by plane for a months tour of Europe. Mr. Kerr Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton G.M. Kerr of Tremonton, and Is married to the former Janeil Raybould of Rexburg, Idaho. Mr. Kerr wrote his thesis on Student Participation in He University Governance. is a graduate of Bear River High SchooL where he was studentbody president and active in football.
