Show Thursday, April 28, 1966 guiltless that taketh His Name in vain. I have heard people use the lord's name in such a vile way that it makes your bliKKl run cold, to think they could do it and not be struck down and think nothing of it. 4. REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY TO KEEP IT HOLY. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God; in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy maidthy servant, nor thy cattle, nor the stranger that is within thy gates, for six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it. i This is the one commandment I think is going to be the ruin of this country, as people think now they have to keep grocery stores, drug stores, gas stations, laundromats, eating places open on Sunday, so they can make an extra dollar, even the people that have fruit stands have to keep them open on Sunday. Well! the cry is we have to stay open on Sunday to take care of the tourists. If! the tourists would make it a practice to stop some place and rest and go to a place of worship of their faith, they would find there would lie less accidents and deaths by thesi accidents, if they would take a day of rest on the sabbath? Until we can keep this one commandment I don't think the Lord is going to give us many blessings. We have had quite a few years to prove our selves and we seem to be getting farther away from him, so we'll have to take the consequence. Our Pioneer forefathers made it a practice to keep the Sabbath day Holy and did it with him TO THE LETTERS out having to keep stores open on Sunday. People can get enough on Saturday without having to run to a store on Sunday. Also can do. their washings during the week and not on Sunday. ) 5. Honor thy father and mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. (How many of our young children now think that their father's and mother's are just old fashioned and don't know what they are talking about until it is too late after they have not taken their parents advice and have gotten into trouble?) 6. Thou shalt not kill. (Look at the amount of killings that are taking place now.) 7. Thou shalt not commit adultry. (This too is getting to be a very serious condition of the world and until people .begin to live like they should they can not be blessed and receive the blessings which they have been promised.) 8. Thou shalt not steal. 'Look at the amount of stealing that would is being done, many rather steal than do an honest days work, they figure it is easier, regardless of the consequence that will follow after they have been caught at it.) not bear false !). Thou shalt witness against thy neighlwr. i This too is a great fault of many of us.) 10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighlwr's wife, nor his and his maidservant, nor his ox. nor his ass. nor anything that is thy neighbor's, i We all know how much of this is going on today.) Also the following scriptures deal with some of the situations that have come to the people in the past two nights. It deals with more alwut keeping the commandments and what will happen if we do not keep them. Deuteronomy 11:13-1Vei se. 13. And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord thy God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. 14. That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. 15. And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full. 1(5. Take heed to yourselves, that your heart is not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, Money and worship them; 17. And then the Lord's wrath frost be kindled agaist you. Exodus 20: God spake all these words, saying I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. These were the words given to Moses and I think they apply to us now as it did in Moss's time, even more so. 1. Thou shalt have no other gods before ME. How many of us have put MONEY as our God, today? 2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth below, or that is in the water under the earth: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God. visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation Me: and of them that hate showing mercy unto thousands Me. and of them that love My commandments. keep Aren't we all trying to put money as our image and passing it on to our third and fourth generation and forgetting ulxnil God. to give him thanks for what he has done for us? So in reading of these things that would happen to the people if they do not keep the Lord's commandments, they this calamity have brought upon themselves, so they have no one to blame but themselves, we the people of this nation had better start to do things we have been taught, because if we do not, things are going to be much worse than they are the now.
