He passed out candy canes to over 500 youngsters as he greeted each one personally and listened to the requests of children of what they would like for Christmas. The large tree was brought to town Friday evening and placed at the corner of Main and First East by the Tremonton Jaycee organization. The event was sponsored by the Merchants Committee of the Chamber of Commerce. Santa will be in Tremonton each Saturday afternoon until Chrisnas visiting the various stores where kiddies may talk with him. Agricultural Teacher from the Bear River High School, Pres ident of the Utah Vocational Agricultural Teachers Association will represent the 60 Utah Vo Ag teachers at the five day meeting. The Honorable Arabam A. Ribicoff, Secretary of Health Education and Welfare will be the principle speaker at the First General Session of t he cultural Teachers meeting during the AVA will be under the leadership of President Floyd Johnson from York, South Carolina. Vo Ag Teachers from the western states will have an opportunity to work on regional problems in Regional Meetings with the Vice Presidet of Region I, Byron Forsyth from St. David, Arizona. Community B election meeting, which includes farms in Howell. Blue Creek, Promontory, Hansel Valley and Poca-tell- o Valley, will be held Dec 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Howell Church. Community C election meeting, which includes farms in Snowville, Park Valley, Grouse Creek, Lynn and Yost, will be held at the Snowville L.D.S. Church Dec. 4 at 2:00 p.m. Community D election meeting, which includes farms in the area near Garland, East Garland, Riverside, and Fielding, will be held in the Garland Armory Dec. 5 at 2:00 p.m. Community E election meeting, which includes farms in the area near Tremonton, Thatcher, Penrose Bothwell Store Perry and Willard, will be held Dec. 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Brigham j City 7th L.D.S. Ward Church at 1st West and 5th North in Brigham City. ASC Committeemen who are elected at these meetings will have responsibility of administrating National Farm Programs such as Agricultural Conservation, Sugar, Price Support, Wheat Stabilization, Livestock Feed, Soil Bank and Feed Grain Programs. Water OK Orval Ewer reported to the council that a letter from Lynn Thatcher of the state board of health puts Tremon-ton'- s cullinary water supply on the tentative approved list. Some contamination matter which was detected a few weeks ago in the city water supply, has now cleared up.
