AND MRS. GERALD L. PURSER Margaret Thompson Marries Gerald L. Purser In Salt Lake Temple August 19 Wedding Rites The Salt Lake Temple was the scene of the wedding of Miss Margaret Thompson and Mr. Gerald L. Purser on Aug. 19. President EIRoy Christiansen performed the temple rites in the presence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Thompson, Tremonton and Mr. and Mrs. James L. Purser, Phoenix, Arizona, parents of the groom, and other family members and close friends. in the A wedding reception Tremonton Fourth Ward hall the same evening honored the young couple. To greet their friends, the bridal couple stood before an archway of blossoms and white wedding bells. The bride was radiant in a floor-lengt- h gown of bouquet taffeta, styled along princess lines with seed pearls and Alencon lace adornment. Three bouffant tiers in the skirt back draped into a short chapel train. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses and daisies. Miss Janet Thompson was maid of honor for her sister. Other attendants were Mrs. James Goodro, matron of honor; Miss Becke Willardson and Mrs. Stanley Brewer. They wore white eyelet sheaths underscored with blue polished cotton, and matching hats. She attended Weber College and Utah State university, graduating from the Weber Institute of Religion and being a member of Lambda Delta Sigma. The groom is a graduate of BRHS and USU, now doing postgraduate study in social sciences. He was commissioned in the Army Reserve at USU and a member of Lambda Delta Sigma and Phi Alpha Theta. He has fulfilled an East German LDS mission. Bishop Melvin Nelson, uncle of the groom officiated at the ceremony in the Tremonton Second Ward, where a reception followed the wedding. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merril Laub of Tremonton and the parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Oleen Nelson, Bear River City. The bride chose a gown of tulle and lace over white satin. Sequins and pearls trimmed the lace bodice and long sleeves, and matching lace formed a short overskirt enhancing the full floor length skirt of tiny tulle ruffles. Her veil was caught to a crown of pearls and she carried a white orchid bouquet surrounded by white roses. The maid of honor, Miss Sheila Ward and the other attendants, VaLoy Laub, sister of the bride, Carol Dawn Zollinger and Mrs. Maxine H. Laub wore identical dresses of avocado green crysta-lin- e and carried giant mums.
