The promised pair have selected the Idaho Falls Temple for their wedding. The bride-elec- t is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard B. Davis of Trcmonton. Mr. Stokes is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Leo Stokes of Bothwell. Miss Davis is a graduate of Bear River High School and of the School of Nursing at Weber College. She has been working as a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital in Las Vegas, New Officers Named By Civic And Home Arts Club The Civic and Home Arts Club met April 2 at the Garland Cafe with LaPreal Bair as hostess. President Fayc Thompson conducted the meeting and Emily Jensen gave the prayer. Club collect was given by Mrs. Arva Lou Merrell. Michael Jensen sang a song accompanied by his mother. Mrs. Emily Jensen, and he also gave a reading. Gene Jorgensen, art teacher at Bear River High School was a guest of the club. lie showed slides and discussed interesting phases of art and painting. All attendants were dressed in pastel shades of brocaded taffeta. Orchids were fashioned in bouquets and nose gays for the mothers of the bride and groom and for all attendants. Don Lowe stood as best man for his broaher and J. E. Bingham performed usher duties. Mrs. Don Lowe presided at the guest book, Mrs. Lois Larsen was in charge of the gifts and Mrs. Vera James took care of the refreshments. Arlo James was Master of Ceremonies and the following program was presented. Lyman Kimber sang a solo, Donna and Patricia Montgomery presented a dance number, Diane Mecham sang two solos and a toast to the bride and groom was given by Mrs. Vera James. The reception hall was beautifully decorated in pink and white crepe paper and bouquets of fresh flowers. N. 4 ' ' - - I 1 ; 10, 1958 Thursday, April IN LOGAN TEMPLE RITES A social event of this week was the marriage on Wednesday of Miss Janet James, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin James of Park Valley to Jack Lowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Lowe of Hooper, Utah. The marriage took place in the Logan A. with President Temple officiating. George Raymond Later the ynung couple together with fifteen relatives and friends were guests of the groom's parents at a wedding breakfast at Maddox Ranch House in Brigham City. Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Alvin James entertained at a wedding reception and dance in Park Valley for their daughter and husband. The bride was lovely in a floor length satin gown with an overskirt of tulle and lace, trimmed with mother of pearl sequins. The fitted bodice featured a sweet heart neckline with lace and sequins and long pointed sleeves and back of dress wore tiny satin buttons. A pearl seeded crown topped her veil of illusion. The bridal bouquet was fashioned with large and small orchids. Both the bride and groom wore leis of orchids presented to them by the LDS President of the Hawaiian Mission and his wife.
