Langdon and five children of Tacoma, Wash., arrived in Tremonton Sunday evening for a week's visit with relatives. Mrs. Langdon is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Brough. The couple will recite wedding vows in the Logan Temple, April 11. Miss Allen is a graduate- of Bear River High School, and is a graduate of the L.D.S. Business College. She was a member of Lambda Delta Sigma Sorority and was a member of the girls chorus at the College. Mr. Rose also completed Bear River High School work and has filled a mission for the LDS Church in the Eastern Canadian Mission. He has just completed six months active military duty. GIVES BIRTHDAY DINNER The family of Lavor Larsen honored him at a surprise birthday dinner held at Maddox Friday evening. Cap-ene- r, Auxiliary Holds Meeting The Garland American Legion Auxiliary met Wednesday afternoon at the home of President Ida Michaelis with Department of Utah officers, Helen Howard, presidejt and Ruby Farnsworth, secretary, both of Salt Lake City and Lucile Northern District and Mrs. Ruby Pond, both of Lewis-toas special guests. Music was furnished by Lynn and Larry Rose and the program and Legislation proposed by the Auxiliary was discussed. Berg-ense- n Life-Line- rs Group Meets Club of Community - Methodist Church met Sunday night at Church, with seven couples present. A brief business meeting was conducted by Presidents Thomas and Helen Harrison. Devotional services were presented by Mr. and Mrs. Sam Woerner, and an exceptionally interesting review of the religion of Islam was given by Mr. and Mrs. Linn Capps by the showing of a film strip on this religion. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Woernor served refreshments, and all agreed it was a most informative and enjoyable evening. The Life-Line- rs Tre-monto- n The Northern District U.F. was held Convention March 22nd at Smithfield, Utah, with the Smithfield Civic club as hostess club. Mrs. T. L. Cochran, district president presided, Mrs. W. C. Ewing, state president, talked on projects and planning of Federation work. Luncheon was served at noon by the hostess club. The tables were beautifully decorated in the Easter theme. The District Mother of the Year, Mrs. Leslie Wassom, Garland, and the outstanding typical teacher representative, the district, Mrs. Searl Beecher, Brigham, were honored at the W.C. Mrs. Leland Hansen entertained Friday evening at her home for the members of the Garland Bridge Club. She served a tasty luncheon, after which the ladies spent the evening at cards. Prizes went to Mrs. Dean Capener, Mrs. Dent Rich and Mrs. Devers Owens. Daughters Of Utah Pioneers News GOLDEN SPIKE The Golden Spike Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneeers met Thursday afternoon at the Tremonton Third ward hall. Fern Andreason gave the lesson on Brigham Young, his wives and family, and the History of John Gibbey was read by his grand daughter, Verna Barnes. The members also enjoyed two dances by Janet Cowley, two duets by Dale Buxton and his sister Laura Lee, and a piano solo by Ann Campbell. Carrie Christensen of the County Camp was a guest of the Camp. Luncheon was served by Verna Barnes, Margaret Smith and Alice Buxton. MIDLAND The officers of the Midland Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers met Thursday afternoon at the home of May T. Kent in Tremonton. The lesson on Brigham Young and his wives was given by Florence Beard, and Lila Woodruff read the history of her grand father. Dora T. Brough also sang two solos.
