Brian caught his left arm in the wringer up past the elbow. He was rushed to the Doctor, but lucky no bones were broken. Mrs. Owen (Isabel) Freebairn and children, Ann, Kent, Craig and Paul of Los Angeles, Calif., were guests of Mrs. Freebairn's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Waddoups, Monday. They came to Utah especially to attend conference. Mrs. Freebairn is on the Primary Stake Board of the Wilshire Stake. Mrs. Viola Hastings, who has been visiting her daughter for some time, returned to Salt Lake Cfty with her daughter, Mrs. Isabel Freebairn. Mrs. Ruth Munns. Violet Burch, LaVon Nelson, Freda Barker and Nola Nessler attended Primary conference in Salt Lake City, Thursday. They report the meetings were exceptionally good. Kathy Reese of Paul, Ida., spent the weekend with her grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. J. Harold Reese. Mrs. Marge Huggins was hostess to her pinochle club, Thursday evening at her home. Mrs. Lowell (Betty) Anderson was a special guest. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hastings of Willard called on the Thomas Waddoups, Sunday. Mr. Hastings and Mrs. Waddoups are brother and sister. Mrs. Ernest Huggins and Mrs. Ernest Olsen of Brigham City visited Mrs. Alma Hansen of East Tremonton. Monday. Mrs. Hansen returned Sunday from the hospital where she had been confined following a major operation. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Nelson e and family have moved to to make their home. It's Corinne's gain and our loss, as they are very fine people, and we hope they will come back often to the community. Mr. and Mrs. Irving and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nessler and family were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Murray at their home in Ogden. The group also visited with Mrs. Theral (Reta) Christensen and family, who are making their home in Ogden while Theral is attending school in Oklahoma for two months. On his way there, Theral was caught in a terrible blizzard but didn't suffer any hardships from it. W. Stevens, president at Stevens' Henager. Fifteen scholarships are available, Mr. Stevens said. Winners have their choice of the following courses: accounting, executive secretarial, secretarial, advanced secretarial, general business, business management, and stenographic. Candidates for scholarships must be at least 16 years of age, and be recommended by their high school principal in addition to presenting one character reference. Winners will be judged through a test on general scholarship and aptitude for business and through interviews with the Stevens Scholarship Committee. Deadline for applications for scholarships is April 30.
