Roland Grover, who came down to East Garland from Alaska when the Grovers returned last time left last week to visit his sister, Darlene, in California enroute to his home in Palmer, Alaska. Mr. and Mrs. L. Francis Peterson and family of Ogden were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Dorris Peterson. On Thursday, April 12, Mrs. Dorris Peterson and her family attended a funeral held in Salt Lake City for her brother, Lloyd Sorensen of Ruth, Nevada. So many people have been kind enough to inquire about Mrs. Peterson's two brothers and she wishes to express her thanks to all who have been so concerned. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Isaacson of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. John Isaacson of Mantua visited relatives in East Garland Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Archibald and family of Ogden were visitors at the Joe Oyler home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lou Cashe of Burley, Ida., were Saturday visitors at the J. W. Rhodes home. Mr. Cashe worked for Mr. Rhodes several years ago. Compiled on a three point basis, the average for 'the class was 2.212. The local students succeeded in bettering that record, with an average of 2.49.
