Show an Easter bonnet made out of an ice cream carton and a broken lamp for birthday presents? Mrs. Warren Haycock received the rather odd assortment of "gifts", all prettily wrapped, at a surprise birthday party last Wednesday night. She also received some useful gifts from the guests, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Germer, Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Blackham, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Bowhuis and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Heusser. Mr. and Mrs. Thales Cannon and Rita Jean left by air from Salt Lake City, Saturday, for a sight seeing trip in the nation's capitol city. They will also visit in Cheyenne, Wyo., on the return trip. Mrs. Ida Cannon, Fielding, is staying at the Cannon home during their absence. Club Meets A musical program was enjoyed by members of the Friendly club when they met at the home of Mrs. Myrl Perry, Thursday night. Dinner was served by Mrs. Perry, Mrs. Floyd Gardner and Mrs. Win-forBarrus. Mrs. Marvin Ashby and her mother, Mrs. Ravesten, Clark-stopresented a variety of musical numbers concerning the coming of spring. A musical reading was given by little Annette Ashby which told how the Fairy folk herald the new DEW EYY IDLE By Mrs. Wayne Fryer FIRE DAMAGES HOME The Tremonton fire, department made an emergency call to the home of Mrs. Ida Ether ington, Saturday morning. The fire which had started in the kitchen was quickly controlled without too much damage resulting. Captain and Mrs. Dee R. Anderson, Angela and Bruce, came from Ft. Ord, Calif., last week to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Johnson. Captain Anderson is soon to leave for Korea. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Nielsen and Linda, Ogden, Wayne Johnson and Donna Thieman, Salt Lake City, also visited last week at the Oliver Johnson home. At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Axel Hassel, last week were Mr. and Mrs. Farrel Couch and twin daughters, Debra and Den-isfrom Missoula, Mont., Mrs. C. A. Bischoff, San Jose, Calif., and son, Than, and Mrs. Dallas Jensen and daughter, Brigham City, were also guests at the Hassel home. Mr. and Mrs. Derlin Fowles and Micheal, Pocatello, spent Easter with Mr. and Mrs. Mel-vi- n Burbank. From San Francisco Mr. and Mrs. Jay Norr and children drove to Salt Lake City, Thursday to meet Mr. and Mrs. Russ Lund and family at the airport. The Lunds came from San Francisco and spent Easter at the Norr home. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Burnham, Nancy and Merle, came from Concord, Calif., to spend the Easter vacation at the home of Mrs, Burnham's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Earl. -- e, d n, season. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ashby and children have moved to Tremonton. We are going to miss them here. Mrs. N. Peter Marble was a Sunday visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Packer, Brigham City. She stayed to attend conference Primary there that evening. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dewey, Ogden, visited relatives here, Sunday.
