The guests made a bride's book and played games and were served tasty refreshments. The guest of honor received many lovely gifts. and Club News I Logan Man Friends Entertained At Bridge Luncheon unusual and delightful program was heard by members of the Tremonton Civic League Thursday afternoon when they met at the home of Mrs. Kleon Kerr. Orson Ryan of Logan entertained the club with a discussion and demonstration on "The Art of Story Telling". A tasty luncheon was served by the hostess to the club members and the following guests, Clytie Ransom, Bonnie Coombs, Rebecca Mortensen, La Von Crystal, and Irene Shuman. Mrs. Reuben Baer and Mrs. Clarence Stucki entertained at a delightful Bridge party Monday afternoon at the Baer home. Out of town guests included Mesdames George Davis, Salt Lake City; Charles Wood, Mel Wood, Gordon Croft, all of and Mrs. Wyn Nelson of Dayton, Idaho. After a delicious luncheon, the afternoon was spent in playing Bridge and prizes went to Mrs. Mel Wood and Mrs. Croft. Civic League Hears An Jf'i Girl And Daryl Garfield Set June Wedding W' of Miss Alma The marriage Rae Francis and Daryl Garfield has been announced by Mr. and Mrs. Willam J. Francis of Buhl, Idaho, parents of the bride-elecMr. Garfield is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Garfield of Tremonton. The ceremony was set for Friday, June 12 in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. Miss Francis is attending the L.D.S. Hospital School of Nursing, and will be graduated this of August from the University Utah's College of Nursing. Daryle has filled a missiona ; falifnrnia and is nOW student at the University of Utah. Open house will honor the couple Friday evening at the Jess Garfield home in East Tre monton and a reception will bo held in Buhl, Idaho June 22. Og-de- n t. Her fingertip veil hung from a beaded crown, and she carried a heart shaped bouquet of white carnations centered with an orchid corsage. During the evening a program was presented with Bishop Oleen Josephson as master cf Duets were sung ceremonies. by Jerry McMurdie and Janet Nicholas, and John Starr and Nadine Archibald. Marsha Archibald sang a solo and Norvel Estep sang and accompanied himself on the guitar. Roma Jean Bourne, Lola Dean Coombs, Doris'Lamb, and Bonnie Robbins were in charge of the gifts, and refreshments were served under the direction of Verna Mortensen and Margar-ett- e Romer with Joan Gardner, p In rites solemnized at the Logan L.D.S. Temple on May 28th, by President George Raymond, Miss Beverly Hill became the bride of Odean Estep. The new Mrs. Estep is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seymour Hill of Tremonton. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Estep of Plymouth. The newlyweds were honored that same evening at a reception and dance in the Tremonton Se cond ward hall. In the receiv ing line with them and their "parents were Anna Lee Hill, maid of honor; Shanna Hill, Charmone Hill and Janet bridesmaids; John Starr as best man and Sandra Bourne and Vickie Sue Robbins as flower girls. ALL SUMMER 13 OFF Last week the M.I.A. held a program at the school house for all the ward. Games were enjoyed for an hour then a program giving the history of Scouting was presented. This was followed by a court or nonor at which second class badges were given to Jack Thompson and Paul Munns. Merit badges were pesented to Leon Rasmus- sen and Reed Petersen, Clar ence Perry and Day Garfield from the State Board were pres ent. Hot dogs and root beer were served to a large crowd. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Edon Gardner visited in Ogden at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holmes. They took their mother, Mrs. Margaret Anderson, who has been visiting with them for the past two weeks, to Ogden to visit with the Holms family for a few weeks. STOCK SOLD AT SALT LAKE SHOW The following people from here attended the Junior Live Stock show held at North Salt Lake last week: Mrs. Jeniva Ericksen and son Arlo, Mr. and and son Mrs. James Roberts Carl, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Buchanan and son David. Arlo received a star blue ribbon on his steer, and Carl received a blue ribbon. David Buchanan took a heifer to the show. All the boys received a good price for their cattle. Arlo and David's were projects and Carl's was a Future Farmer. Mrs. Dwain Romer and daughter Madce attended the accor- dian recital given by the Nadine Wright Accordian School last Saturday at the union building at the U.S.A.C. at Lo- Miss Sue Simmons of Twin Falls, Idaho spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Johnson. She was a guest of Laron Johnson. ELLIS ANDERSON RECOVERS FROM INJURY The many friends of A2c Ellis D. Anderson will be glad to learn that he is recovering from his recent accident and is back in Korea as a radio operator. Representative Kleon Kerr of Tremonton was guest speaker, his subject being Legislation. Afterward the group joined in a very interesting discussion on pertinent leg islative problems. A delicious lunch was served by Mrs. Carrie J. Christensen, Flossie Ramsdell Mrs. Thorsen. Russell JensenJ favored with two vocal solos and he was accompanied by Mrs, John Holmgren. Mrs. Blanche Barker, Mrs. Iva Barker and and Mrs. Amanda Jensen were out of town members present. The Pixie Sewing club met at the home of their lead er, Mrs. Mary E. Andersen and tie aprons were made. Elections also took place and Ilene Check etts was chosen president, Jean Christensen vice president, Betty Ann Christensen secretary. Ilene Checketts was hostess and dain ty refreshments were served. Mrs. Ivy M. Andersen was gracious hostess to her club Saturday afternoon. Two babies were given names in Fast day exercises Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Loveland named their son Bruce Robert, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Breagger named their son Kenneth Ralph Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Ellis of Tooele visited their daughter Mr. and Mrs. La and Val Andersen several days last week.
