Outgoing officers are Alene Fryer, Stella Spackman and Gloria Bond. Tribute was paid to the teachers and Keith Burnham, principal, made a response. The Deweyville accordion band presented four numbers, and those present enjoyed refreshments provided by this year's officers. Mr. and Mrs. Burke Peterson of Willow Creek, Montana, and Mrs. K. L. Hess of Garland visited Friday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Myrl Perry and family and Mrs. M. G. Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Norr were Salt Lake City visitors Monday. Sonia Peterson was one of the Seminary students to be honored at the graduation Sunday evening. She received an engraved Book of Mormon combination and every one in the ward is proud of her. The ward bishopric called a special meeting at the new recreation hall Thursday evening. A large group of ward members responded. Plans for completing the building were made and the financial status was discussed. The group decided to continue its use of the school house for meetings until the new church can be entirely completed and furnished. The Primary of the ward has chosen a project to raise money for the new church. Each child will sell bricks for ten cents each to relatives and friends.
