Monday they went to Salt Lake where Mr. Parkinson received medical care. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Hall of Brigham City visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. L. Gibbs and other relatives. PILOT HAS SHORT STAY AT HOME Major Keith Conley of Albuquerque, N. M., was an overnight guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley, Monday. He landed his plane at Hill Air Force Base and was met there by his parents. Tuesday morning he was taken back to the base by his mother and Mrs. Vera Hall. Mrs. Francis Allen had as her "Mother's Day" guests, Mr. and Mr. Joseph Allen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Duggan Allen and family and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Sorenson of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sorenson of East Gar land and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Allen of Malad. Mr. and Mrs. DeLos Gibbs and sons of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gibbs and family of Malad visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. Hyrum Gibbs. Mr. and Mrs. Al Harris of Malad and Mrs. Rose Eversale of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. Royal Halford were dinner guests at the Wendell Hall's home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Feme B. Flint and son Boyce of Clearfield spent Mother's Day with Mrs. Flint's mother, Mrs. Margaret Knudson and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Herald Jenkins and children spent Sunday in Ogden with Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Jenkins. Mrs. Virgil C. Harris entertained at dinner Sunday in honor of her mother, Mrs. Nellie Rees of Malad. Covers were laid for eighteen members of the family. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sharp, Mrs. Mary Castleton and daughter, Tamara were Sunday guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John B. Allen. Mrs. Floyd Portage Mrs. Virgil C. Harris Will Meet Veteran Mrs. Rose Harris and son Clin ton left Wednesday for San where Francisco, California, they will meet their son and brother, Dorraine Harris who is being released from the army after serving the past three years. He will arrive there from Japan and Korea. They also plan to visit with Mrs. Harris' daugh ters, Maxine, Elaine and Caro lyn. Mrs. Gibbs Allen, and daugh ter, Rochelle, and Mrs. Demour John were in Ogden Wednesday. BERT ROSE HOME FOR SHORT VISIT A 1c Bert Rose, U. S. who is stationed at Travis, California, spent a few hours with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Rose this week. He arrived late Friday afternoon and left Saturday morning. Mrs. Royal Halford spent Saturday with her mother, Mrs. Evelyn Conley at Pocatello, Ida. Farrell McCrary of Ogden and Beverly McCrary of Grantsville, spent the week end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton McCrary. Mrs. Vera Hall and daughter Irene and Janice Rose spent the weekend in Idaho Falls, as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Stevenson and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Knud- sen and family of Salt Lake City brought Kenneth's mother, Mrs. John W. Knudsen home Sunday after spending the past three weeks in the L. D. S. hospital and at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Nielsen. Mrs. Knudsen unon derwent optical surgery April 21. Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Hoskins and daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Murray Hoskins and family of Ogden were Mother's Day guests of Mrs. Ladetha Hoskins. Mrs. Margaret R. Howell, who Is very ill, was taken to the Oneida Hospital in Malad Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. D. Harris left Wednesday for Ogden to stay for the next ten days with their grandchildren, while their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ward are away on a trip. Mrs. Robert C. Harris was returned to her home Saturday after a week's treatment at the Oneida hospital in Malad. Among the Mother's Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Meets The Garland Camp of Daughters of Utah Pioneers met Friday at the home of Mrs.. Louise Harper with Essie Peterson as hostess The lesson. "Pioneer Monuments," was given by Ruby Nielsen, and Edna Turley read a pioneer history. Merle Larson played a piano selection, Nel-v- a Hansen gave a musical reading. An election of officers resulted in the choice of Essie Peter; son as captain, Myrle Udy, 1st Lieutenant, Naomi Oyler, 2nd Lieutenant, and Edna Ward as secretary. The new officers will take over in the fall. Nellie White will be the chaplain, Viola Roberts, the organist, Marian Kirby, chorister, and Merle Udy, historian and registrar. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Larson and family visited in Salt Lake City Saturday. Mrs. Ursel Rhodes and were Ogden visitors Tuesday. President and Mrs. R. J. Potter attended the Golden Spike observance in Promontory, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Soren-seand Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Atkinson spent Mother's Day in Malad with their parents. Mrs. Leila Boothe of Ogden visited at the Delos Adams home Sunday. Mrs. Eph Peterson accompanied the Ed Isaacsons to Ogden Monday. The Isaacsons visited with Mr. and Mrs. Don Ray who are happy over the arrival of a new baby boy. Mrs. Petersen spent the day with Mrs. Bill Na-din- e n Cole.
