D.S. hospital at Salt Lake City Monday morning to undergo the second major operation on his back. He expects to be confined to the hospital for about six weeks. His many friends wish him a speedy recovery. Mrs. Ruby Farnworth, Mrs. Eva Burns, Mrs. Emily Hendricks, Mrs. Eva Munson and Mrs. Blanche Richards, accompanied by Mrs. Phyllis Hess of Brigham enjoyed a lovely dinner party at the home of Mrs. Belva Laub at Tremonton Friday. The afternoon was spent in a social. Miss Bonnie Baird and Michael Baird entertained the Fifth and Sixth grade students at a Valehtine party Friday afternoon at the District School building. A treasure hunt was enjoyed, followed by games. Lovely refreshments were served. Mrs. M. A. Garn spent several days of last week visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rothaard at Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bourne spent Friday at Ogden. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Munson Sunday evening were Mr. and Mrs. James Burt and son Bruce of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Mason, accompaneid by Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lamb of Plymouth, spent Sunday evening at Logan. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ashby Monday were Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Ashby of New Plymouth, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Secrist and famity spent Sunday visiting with Mr. Secrist's mother, Mrs. Hyrum Johnson at Brig-haCity. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bourne Monday were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Robinson of Salt Lake City and Dr. and Mrs. R. C. Robinson of Farmington. Mrs. Wayne Secrist visited with her mother, Mrs. Eph Hawkins at Ogden Saturday. Mr. and Mrs F.W. Hess attended funeral services for W. R. Thomas at Midvale Tuesday. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Holt Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Holt and sons eClyde, Dean, Jimmy and Charlie of Penrose. The dinner was in compliment to Mrs. Earl Holt and Mervin Holt who were observing birthday anniversaries. Mrs. Frank Cannon spent last week visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Mondell Weber and family at Salt Lake City. Baird Mr. and Mrs. Ralph spent Tuesday afternoon at Logan. Scott Hansen of Logan spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. John Owen re turned home Friday evening from an enjoyable trip through the Northwest. Miss Florence Richards accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Rees and family of Salt Lake City Sunday to attend a missionary testimonial for Valeea Crowther. The annual Sweetheart's Ball will be held Saturday night at the ward hall. A very good orchestra will provide the music and the sponsors invite and urge everyone to attend and enjoy the event.
