City Council Minutes The Beaver City Council met in regular session of the Beaver City Council on March 16, 1999 at 4:00 p.m. with the members of the following Council present: Mayor James E, Robinson; Council Members Mike Dalton, Ann Marshall, Les Williams, and Joseph White. Also present City Recorder Hal Lessing and City Manager Steve Atkin. Council Member Ron Bird absent and excused until 5:00 p.m. Open Comment Time: No one present Minute Approval: Council Member Dalton moved, Council Member Wlliams 2nd, Beaver City Council approve the minutes of February 2, 1999 Regular City Council Meeting. All voted in favor of the motion. Bill Approval: The City Council reviewed the bills. After review it was the consensus of the council the bills be approved for payment. Consent Agenda Approval: Council Member Williams moved, Council Member Dalton 2nd, Beaver City Council approve consent agenda items 1 and 2. All voted in favor of the motion. 1. Beaver City Council hereby approves Resolution A resolution authorizing the execution and delivery of the Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems amended and restated agreement for joint and cooperative action; and related matters. 2. Beaver City Council Ordinance hereby adopts 36 Vacations Street Chapter an ordinance paragraph(m), vacating a portion of 300 South Street and 200 West Street. "Scouting For Food" o Largest Single Food Drive In Utah's History l"7 On Saturday March 20th, up to 50,000 Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and leaders from the Great Salt Lake Council and the Utah National Parks Council will begin distributing food bags to homes in most of the state. Then on the following Saturday, March 27th, they will pick up the bags of food and with help from the Utah National Guard, deliver the bags to the Utah Food Bank and local food pantries. c o demand the Because is Utah's steadily hungry among increasing, the Utah Food Bank depends heavily on "Scouting for Food." During the past 12 years "Scouting for Food" has raised nearly $12 million in donations.
