All Veterans WIDOWS AND DEPENDENTS The Service Officer from The J.R. Robinson To the Citizens of Beaver City: It is impossible to meet with each of you personally before the on Tuesday, General Election November 5, 1991. Over the past four years, I have had the opportunity to serve as a Beaver City Councilman. Thanks to the efforts of past and present City Councilman and Mayors, there has been much accomplished in the past few years. I have learned alot about what it takes to run our city. It requires more time and energy than I had anticipated four years ago, but I have devoted the time and energy to be involved on a daily basis. I would like to be able to serve for another four years as one of your City Councilmen. Over the past few years, there has been much accomplished, such as the New Power Load Control System, Cemetery Improvements, Pressurized Irrigation System, Improvements to City Streets, Improved City Police Protection, New Flagpole on Park, New City Power Plant, Free $98,000.00 Grant for improvements to the culinary water system, Real Possibility of Natural Gas by the end of 1992, Remodeled, Updated and Computerized City Office, Refinanced Hospital Bond at a lower interest rate. All of these projects have resulted in no increase in utility rates or taxes to the people of Beaver City. There are still improvements needed and much to be done in different areas of the city. As a councilman for Beaver City, my priorities may not be yours. I have always tried to have a listening ear and an open mind. I have always tried to represent those people who have come to me with their concerns and all citizens of Beaver City. I have taken this position of City Councilman seriously. I have missed one meeting in four years due to medical problems in my family. I personally believe the less government involvement in our personal lives and businesses, the better off we are. I have been opposed to most new regulations and ordinances that chip away at our personal freedoms. I have also opposed rate increases. I feel that much can be accomplished when there is open discussion, reasoning, listening, respecting each other's opinions and compromise. I ask for your support, confidence, input and vote in Tuesday, November 5, 1991. I will continue to devote the enthusiasm, time and energy to be an effective City Councilman for the people of Beaver City. Sincerely, James E.
