We people in Utah don't realize how lucky we are that we live where the church is fully organized that is the wards of the church. Many saints out here have practically no contact with the church. Besides making a survey of members, we went from house to house without purse or script. A person learns to be humble when he has to depend completely upon the Lord. Several nights we were obliged to sleep on the ground or in someone's bam. Last week I had the privilege to return to Toledo to baptize some converts. I labored there a year before I was transferred in July. It was almost like going back home. I have so many wonderful friends there. Still, good old Utah holds the biggest attraction for me. There's just something about that "Mormon Country" that I like. The climate there is much more healthful than here. There is a high humidity always. It's bad hay fever country. Here In Ohio there are many remains of the Book of Mormon civilization. In many parts of the state can be found the earth fortifications, signal and burial mounds of the ancient Inhabitants of this continent. I am enjoying my mission very much and want to encourage every young boy or girl to take every opportunity which may bring them Into the mission field. This work of the Lord is a joyful work. Its experiences and blessings can be obtained no other way. It can be the highlight of a person's life. I wish to thank all the good people who have made it possible for me to be out here, especially the 137th Quorum of Seventy and also my mother deserves most of the credit. I remain. Elder J.
