ORPHEUM THEATRE Federation Holds District Convention Members of the Tremonton Wo men's Civic League met at Garland last Saturday with members of the Ladies Self Culture and the Civic Home Arts Clubs of Garland as hostesses at the district convention of the Federated Women's clubs. Federated clubs from the Northern Utah district, comprising Hyrum, Logan, Brigham, Garland and Tremonton, were in attendance. Mrs. Sterling Ercanbrack, of Provo, Mrs, D. A. McMillan, of Murray, Mrs. F. S. Leaver, Mrs. Stillman Wright and Mrs. L. B. Harmon, of Salt Lake, were state officials in attendance. Election of officers held' during the meeting resulted in the placing of Mrs. Vernald John of Garland as president of the Northern Utah District Federation; Mrs. Norman Jensen, Brigham City, vice president; Mrs. John Carlisle, Logan, recordding sercetary; Mrs. Adams, Hyrum. historian; and Mrs. Jack Shumway, Tremonton, treasurer. A tea was held in the Relief Society rooms for the visitors following the meetings.
