Invocation was offered by Bishop Revell T Smith. The program included the following musical selections: "Ding Dong, Merrily," by ward chorus; "Joseph Came Seeking a Resting Place," also by the chorus; Bethlehem," by the "Harmonettes;" "Silent Night, Holy Night," by the chorus; a story, "A Boy in Nazareth;" & "Joy" by the chorus. Musical numbers were conducted by George B Roden. The accompanist was Wilma Day & Howard Ballard was manager. Thella Bailey directed the Harmonettes who were accompanied by Zelda Smith. Reader for the program was Marilyn Day; Glennda Sanderson presented a reading & an organ prelude was offered by Lowell Boberg. Violin accompaniment ior the musical numbers was given by Charlene Bailey & Dorothy Parkin. Decorations were under the direction of Ivan Sanderson. Highlights of the party were of a huge birthday cutting cake & presentation of gifts for the LDS Primary Children' hospital. In picture at top children pile gifts for the hospital. Following the caroling, class members attended a pot luck supper at the home of Marva Jean Kimball. Following the supper, guests played bingo & exchanged presents. Those present included Charlene Bailey, Joan Smith, Joy Reeves, Betty Ann Milligan, Reva Walters, Sheila & Sherry Fitzgerald, Ann Clark & Withers. Mrs Alden Miller & Mrs Joseph Reeves, class teacher & counselor respectively, were special guests. Relief Society members of the First ward, Church of Jesus Christ of .Latter Day Saints presented a Biblical pageant Tuesday of last week at the ward in conjunction with their meeting. Scenes in the pageant depicted the story of Ruth & the nativity of Jesus. Mrs Leila Nix, Relief Society literary leader, directed the production. Mrs Lucy Godfrey was narrator. During the meeting refreshments were served by the Relief Society presidency assisted by Mrs Marian Boggess. Elder Green will enter the LDS mission home in Salt Lake City Jan 9 & after completing his training there will labor in the Eastern States mission field.
