He hasn't' forgotten you - as shown by his picture and the Jersey he is wearing. The picture was taken not in Beaver, but in Buena Park, California, where Jeff lives and now is attending the school where this picture was taken. Jeff had been absent for a couple of days due to illness and didn't know that class pictures were being taken on the day he returned to school. So, it was by chance he was wearing the Beaver Jersey. Jeff is the son of Jim and Frances Jackson of Buena Park, and the Grandson of Merrill and Leone Holmes of Beaver. He lived with his grandparents while attending Belknap School and Primary at the 3rd Ward LDS Church from August, 1978 through May, 1979. Jeff was given his instructions by Missionary Sisters Corrine Johnson and Nancy Hospodarsky. He was then baptized and confirmed by Bishop B. Noal Robinson. During that time a cable will be stretched across the Colorado River to permit measurements of flow velocities and to prepare accurate river bottom profiles. The work is being done as part of an assessment' of probable impacts of adding additional generating units to Glen Canyon Powerplant and of operating the plant for peaking power. Fluctuations in river flow would be substantially greater than at present if these additions and changes were to be made.
