The Wildcats are defending State Champions, and it looks like they may repeat as they downed the Beavers, the Number One ranked school all year, by the score of 21 to 13. The Wildcats won the toss and to start the chose to kick-of- f game. They were successful in holding the Beavers and forcing the Beavers to punt at the end of the first series of downs, it was a high snap and Sophomore Burton Myers' punt was blocked and ri cntied on the Summit! 10 yard line. In the second quarter, QB John Mondrat;on scored on a 9 yard run to up Summit's score to 14 to 0. Todd .Sophomore linebacker Plumb lead the Beaver defense with 1 tackles. He received a lot of jjuip from Biair Smith, Chad Dalton, Ricky Carter, Mike Smith and James Lindsay. For the first time in 10 years Region 8 does not have a finalist in the State Tournament, as North Summit downed the Kanab Cowboys in Salina 20 to 17.
