Mr. and Mrs. Thell Riley spent the weekend in the Logan area visiting Mr. and Mrs. David Hardman and in Salt Lake visiting Stanley and Evelyn Riley and families. Mr. and Mrs. Alton (May) Atkin spent Friday and Saturday in Sandy, Utah with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gary (Rae) Atkin, Ricky and Lisa, who have recently moved to Sandy after being in Ely, Nevada, until the mines closed. Sunday they visited Mr. and Mrs. Roy (Janet) Bess and family and helped with Alton's mother, Mrs. Mae Atkin, who is very ill at the Parowan Rest Home. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn (Jane) Moore and son Troy of Ogden, Utah spent the weekend with Jane's mother, Mrs. Nell and brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray (Helen) Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Robinson of Ervine, Calif., flew to Salt Lake and were met by their son Alan Robinson of American Fork where they visited family members for several days. They also attended both football games at Price and Ephraim before returning to Beaver to visit another son and family, the Michael Robinsons. Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Jones attended a recent convention in Phoenix. They visited Mr. and Mrs. Jay Moves while there. Louis and Myrl Lessing spent three days in Salt Lake City visiting their sons Hal and Dale and families and their daughter Sandra, who is attending the University of Utah. Their daughter, Lana Keller, drove in from Price to visit her folks. Their son, Paul, flew in from Knoxville, Tennessee, where he had been attending a scientific convention. After a day layover, he flew to Butte, Montana, where he is Cart-wrig- Cartwright. Mrs. Ila Bauer of Cedar City and Mrs. Lorna Alger of Parowan, Utah, visited Monday wiih their cousins, Mrs. Merlin Patterson. Mrs. Bobby Gillies and children Jennifer, Mathew and Sara, of Salt Lake, and Mrs. Barbara Smith of Provo, Utah, visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert (Vie) Smith. It's nice to have rain and snow, but I would like to see a good storm like they had in Ogden over the weekend, a foot of snow and not much wind. It was beautiful. Ruby McMullin, Annabell and Elsie Hales visited last week with their son and family Mr. and Mrs. Douglas (Barbara) McMullin in Orera, Utah. On Thursday they attended the funeral services for Dr. William P. Miller in the Weber Heights Stake Center. He is former president of Weber State College and has added much strength to the growth of the college. He is the father of Mrs. Douglas (Barbara) Mc- living. The group attended a birthday party at the home of Dale, where they had a chance to visit Hulda Garret, a cousin to Louis. Louis and Myrl attended a Ward Social at the West Jordan 8th Ward with Hal and Janet and daughter Kourtney. Louis also had the opportunity to hunt pheasants with Hal. It appeared that the hunters . They visited in Kemmerer, Wyoming a week with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. David Pickard, then wen' on to Littleton, Colorado, where they spent a week with Mr. and Mrs. Gary (Carlie) Pickard and five sons, Kevin, Michael. Jeffrey, Steven and Bradley. Mildred said it was a beautiful trip. They stopped for a short time at Veyo, Colorado and enjoyed the scenery. Mrs. LaPrele Lewis of Milford, I'tah visited last week with her sister and husband Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert (LaRue) Briggs. Mr. and Mrs. Sam (Erma) Cline, Mr. and Mrs. Dan (Theo) Gillies visited Mr. and Mrs. Sam (Alta) Hickman this past week. Mrs. Ether Blackner went to Seattle, Washington last week to visit her son and family Mr. and Mrs. Gary (Jane) Blackner. The entire family will leave November 15, 1978 for Spain where their son Don has completed an L.D.S. mission there. Be sure to look at the ladies and mens rooms when you go. They are very attractive as is the entire restaurant. The food is not first class. The rel'iied beans are cooked to a mush and are not seasoned very well. The rice is over cooked with hardly any seasoning. My definition of the food is California Mexican. Definitely not the best.
