Sunday April 16, 1972, they were in Provo with Mr. and Mrs. Evan (Roberta) Nell son, Brenda, Tamara and Brad. They were joined by other family members, Mr. and Mrs. Dale (Fae) Harris and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Pat (Nancy) Baker for a family dinner and a get together before Brenda left for Chicago where she will work as a air stewardess for International Airlines. She will leave Monday to begin her job. Mr. and Mrs. Hal (Gwen) Lund enjoyed a week just touring. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ken (Jewel) Williams and family in Albuquerque, New Mexico who will soon move to Portland, Oregon where Ken has been transferee!, Mr. and Mrs. Don (Gaye) Seaman and family in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Williams and Seam an s were former Beaver residents. InTempe, Arizona they spent several days with Gwen's brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Cooley. Gwen said it was a good way to enjoy a trip, just go and visit where or what you like. Mr. and Mrs. Charley (LaRue) Smith of Provo visited the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Loyal (Thelma) Baldwin and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin (Lydia) Smith. To date, some 40 Utah high schools from Logan to Moab and Vernal to Grants ville are taking part in the program. The program, sponsored by the Utah State Bar Is designed to Improve understanding and appreciation for the law among high school students. The attorneys participating are doing so as a public service and many will be involved In class discussion for the majority of the day. of Utah's high schools will be confronted by an attorney and required to answer certain questions regarding the law. Why will students be required to answer to an attorney and why on this particular day? May 1st is the day citizens annually celebrate Law Day USA, a day In which we pause to give thanks for our legal system, learn how It operates and study ways of Improving It, In furtherance of these purposes, attorneys throughout the state will visit Utah high school sodal studies, government and history classes and conduct discussions Involving various areas of the law Including legal ethics, basic assumptions of our legal system, drug laws, search and seizure, free speech, health and sanitation laws, city ordinances consummer fraud, repossession, long hair regulations and other interesting topics. The discussions will be based on five fact situations similar to situations within which the students could be personally involved.
