Show COMINS & GOINGS Fair Premium Books By VUd Are In The Mails Not long ago Ross and I took a trip to the new site for UHF Television on the highest peak of the Frisco Mountains west of Mjlford. This is where the Salt Lake Channels are being picked up on Ultra High Frequency and rebroadcast to St. George and other southern Utah towns. The road up the mountain, was (terrible but once we reached the summit the view was something to write about. Almost like being in an airplane. The top of the mountain has been leveled off to make a clearing about 100 feet square to accomodate the television equipment. We could walk around the edge and see in all directions with nothing to obstruct the view it is so For information on: much above the other mountains. Personalized listings, Directly below, to the south, could see the remains of changes in listings, or we the old mining towns of Moscow and New House and the advertisements in the diggings of a number of old Yellow Pages, please mines. Further south we could see the Parowan and Cedar call our Business Valleys and the Cedar Mountains. To the east we could Office. But hurry, the see Milfor, and on to Baldy and Belknap and other ranges Directory is going of mountains in the distance ! to press To the north there was the Delta valley and of course, if the eye could have seen that Mountain States Telephone far, the Oquirrh Mountains from whence the television signals were being sent. But it was the west that interested me most. Below spread ;he huge desert, the Waw Waw and Pine Valleys and beyond them the Nevada Mountains with snow - capped Mount Wl0W , . Wheeler towering above them. But the real thrill was seeing the old bed of the Sevier Lake I had read and heard about it but it never really sank in until that day. I had. no idea it had been so large. It spread from near Delta into Nevada anj south to the Milford-El- y highway. I don't know if it was a salt lake but it reminded me of the old Parowan all white and deso Lake bed late. I doubt if we will ever make the trip again but I'm glad that I had this opportunity THE NEW TELEPHONE DIRECTORY GOES PRESS TO SOON! once. and Mrs. Ed Oakden and family of Las Vegas spent Mr. the week-en- d in Beaver with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stan ' jji' THIRD WARD SACRAMENT Dan Joseph of the Bishopric conducted the Sacrament services.
