Show CHIT CHAT By Est Mrs. Ruby McMullin left Friday night for Salt Lake to take her grandsons Sill and John McMullin, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Doug McMullin, who have spent three weeks visiting with their grandmother and aunts, Elsie and Annabell Hales. It's so nice to see Arch Foth-eringha- m back in Beaver visiting again. Arch was a Beaver resident He is visiting with his daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. John White and his brother Harley Fotheringham. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Robinson and son of Utah spent the day with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robinson. George Murray, Georges Wilford Mrs. Mary Haney has her new home completed and has moved in. It is a beautiful home and we are happy to welcome the Haneys back to Beaver. Scott and Maxine Tattersall, of Salt Lake City, are visiting in Beaver with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold. Low, Maxine's parents and Mrs. Mary Haney, Scott's mother. They are helping Mary move in and finishing the work of getting settled. Mary is very happy with her new home and wants to thank the men that worked on it for their speed and efficiency. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Smith and family, of American Fork, were in Beaver to attend the funeral for Lee Gillies and to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Warren Griffiths and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Swindlehurst. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Smith and family of Ames, Iowa are spend k vacation in ing their Beaver with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Barton. Mr. and Mrs. Martell Easton of Cedar City were in Beaver last week visiting friends and relatives. Mr and Mrs. Clark (Edna Mae) Wright have purchased the home of Ronald and LoAnn Smith and have moved into it. Ronald and LoAnn live in Las Vegas. Lorraine and Douglas Prows of Hunter, Utah have been in Beaver for the past two weeks visiting with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bill Warby. Their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gean (Lucille) Prows was here over the It's always fair weather when old friends get together. Such was the case- when an army buddy, Dewey T. Garton, Jr., of New Martinsville, West Vrginia spent a couple of days renewing acquaintences with his old friends whom he had known when he was here with the CCC. He joined the Beaver Unit of the National Guard and when they were called into active duty in 1941 he went with the boys. Ever since that time he has wanted to visit Beaver again and have his wife and family see some of the splendores of the west. They visited with Arthur Fotheringham, Melvin Wal ker, Warren Bohn, Cecil Will-de- n and Paul Smith and they all enjoyed reminiscing over past experiences. This same group of fellows enjoyed a visit from another army buddy, George White, of Hayward, California a few days later. They spent one night In Las Vegas and then went on to the Los Angeles area where Mac has six brothers and sisters. Some of the highlights of the trip other than visiting with relatives were a ball game at the new Dodger Stadium where they saw the Angels and Boston Red Socks play, a visit to Dis- neyland and a visit to Marine Land. Allen and Ethel Black- ner took care of the motel while the Pattersons were away. Our good friends, Grant and Blanche Pryor of Tuscon, Arizona stopped in at the Press to say "Hi" on Monday afternoon of this week. They came to Utah last week and have been visiting relatives around the state and were on their vay back home. White of Provo were hosts at a formal reception at East Sharon Stake House in honor of their daughter, Bonnie and Paul Dee Stone, who were married Thursday in the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Stone is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald D. Stone, also of Provo who entertained the bridal party at a wedding dinner at the Bluebird Cafe in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. John Gunn, the grandparents of the bride and Mrs. Thora Beeson of Beaver were in attendance at the wedding and reception. After visiting in Provo with their daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Bronda) White and family the Gunns went on the Northern California to spend a few days with relatives. Bill Barton returned home after a two weeks visit with his grandparents, the Harold Dai-toof Parowan. ns Mrs. Barbara Briggs and four children of Salt Lake spent the week vacationing at the Nettie Fordham residence. They also visited other relatives. On Sunday Barbara and family returned home and Mrs Fordham and Annette Edwards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Vivian Edwards, went back to Sail Lake with the Briggs to spend a week with relatives. i Mr. and Mrs. Jess Edwards announce the engagement of their daughter Arleen to Mr. Rodney Jay Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Nelson of Logan, Utah. . They are to be married in the Salt Lake Temple August 19, 1964. A wedding reception will be given in their honor Friday, August 21, 1964 at the Beaver First-Thir- d Ward. Every one is invited to attend. Mr. Nelson has completed an LDS Mission in the Northwest Central States. This spring he received his Master of Science Degree in Sociology from USU. Short talks were given by Earl Ammon of Dade City, Florida and Mike Judkins of South Country, Conn., both are work Missionaries. Bishop Nielson's brother, Russell, who entered the Mission Home Monday, bore his testimony. President Yardley spoke a few words concerning the Indian program. Sandra Hollingshead played a piano solo. Mrs. Emma Williams is home again after spending the past month in California with the Hoy Hesllngton family. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Fackerell of Ruth, Nevada visited friends and relatives here last week Mrs. Nettle Fordham received word from her son Howard of Greeley, Colorado that he will leave for Frankfurt, Germany on Sept 1st and his wife and four children will soon follow. Howard works with the insurance company and will be overseas quite some time.
