Moss's office) The Bureau of Public Roads has programed for $250,000 improvement of 2.4 miles of Lake Hiway. the Beaver-Puffe- r Senator Frank E. Moss disclosed Tuesday. The route is the 4th Hiway 29 route which is also designated, Utah State Secondary Hiway No. 153. Senator Moss has been informed by Federal Hiway Administrator Whitton that the project provides for slide stabilizaton and bituminous (surfacing) over pre viously improved hiway and he said "The Bureau plans to advertise for bid in June if they are satisfactory the project should be underway in early summer. From a point 6.8 miles of the 20 mile route (the road) is still unimproved and it is not certain how soon work will begin on that. The Forest Service plans to construct camp grounds and other recreation and resource improvements when hiway access is completed." The hiway begins at Beaver and ends at Puffer Lake near the summit of the Tusher mountains. (Signed) FRANK E.
