Gunn at the family home. Mrs. O. t welcomed the guests at the door and in the receiving line were th newlyweds and Mr. and Mrs. John Gunn. Little Bonnie Vie White was flower girl. The charming brunette bride was dressed In traditional white satin gown styled with a high net'kline and a bertha collar effect with wide lace, a pep-luat the waistline tapered into a train which was also lace edged. Her veil of bride's illusion was trimmed with lace and cascaded from a satin cap. decorated with seed pearls. After lunch, the group traveled to the Chester Memmott and Don Probert ranches to see some of the best crested wheat stands in the state. Trial pantings of vari ous grasses were viewed near Maple Grove and discussed by Vic tor Stokes, the local Forest Ran- - IN CONSERVATION' a The Millard County U. S. D: A. Council has just completed a very good field trip, and It has created a great deal of interest in conservation work in the County. The Council consists o all the Department of Agriculture employees who carry on different phases of agriculture work. These persons ure coordinated into one council known us the U. S. D. A Council. Work on range plantings and conservation was viewed by the group and farmers and ranchers cooperating with the Department of Agriculture. The first hour was spout in the Sclpio Town Hall, where Farrell P. Smith, District Conservationist for the Soil Conservation Service, showed colored pictures on work being done by Soil Conserva tion Districts in Millard and Bea ver Counties. A discussion was en tered into by the entire group and questions on conservation were answered by agencies concerned The group then traveled in cars to the Hatch Brothers Hauch to see crested wheat plantings, rye pastures, and native grass pus tures. Marvin Hutch has planted over 1200 acres of crested wheat He showed the group one large pasture which has been pastured continuously since it was first planted nine years ago. Land leveling projects were the next order of business on the Ir vin Monroe farm Through a fine loud speaker furnished by Thomas Reeve and Rodney Rlckenbach. Secretary of the Millard County Committee and County Agent, respectively, Mr. Monroe told how much time and water ho saves each turn In Irrigating this field. Weed spraying work done by Waldo Robins on the Forrest W. Don Peterson, District En gineer for Millard and Beaver Counties, discussed the program being carried out by the Scipio Irrigation Company on their en tire system. The next farm visited was that of Ernest Herbert. A stop here was made to see grass plantings. Mr. Herbert Is a pioneer In this field or work since 1920. Ills ranch is an outstanding experimental farm on a practical basis. Plantings are much better on this ranch than any other plantings seen, on the famous Benmore area near Tooele, Utah. Visitors from Reaver, Sevier, and Millard Counties are to be congratulated for their interest in this work. This Interest can help only to get more needed conservation done.
