Show MISS VERN BAER RETIRES FROM TEACHING Miss Vern Baer, who is retiring at the end of the present school year, after teaching in Jordan School DibRriiCt and at, Bingham High School for many years, was honored with a dinner party at the Doll House in Salt Lake Gity on May 1 6. In attendance were the Bingham High School faculty and their partners, also Supt. and Mrs. Reed H. Beckstead and. Asst. Supt. and Mrs. H. W. Jorgensen and other oth-er guosts. About 75 were in attendance. at-tendance. The group presented Miss Baer with a silver tray and silver coffee service. The JEA and the Board of Education also made presentations to the honor guest. A short program, consisting of musical mu-sical numbers, skits, and tributes paid to the honor guest, was given. The. faculty committee in charge of arranging the affair included Mrs. Beatrice Bates, Terry Kastania, Glenn Sacos, Mrs. Verna Jones and Charles Williams. At the award assembly held Wednesday Wed-nesday of last week, the Future Teachers Club presented Miss Baer with a dozen long-stemmed red roses. |
