Roy D. Bridges Jr., a former astronaut and former director of requirements at Air Force n Materiel Command headquarters, will on "The AFB, Ohio, speak Gateway to Space" at noon in the Val A. Browning Center's Allred Theater at WSU in Ogden. The free lecture is the first in a series of technology focused lectures sponsored by the WSU College of Applied Science and Technology. Free parking is available at the Dee Events Center, and the Wildcat Shuttle will run to and from the Browning Center. Attendees should park by 11:30 a.m. to arrive at the lecture on time. Bridges will speak on the space shuttle and expendable launch vehicle activities; give an overview of NASA and the Kennedy Space Center, discuss the Hubble Space Telescope and the International Space Station; and provide a Mars mission update.
