Canfield. who's also a certified massage therapist, got interested in yoga when she experienced back pain. She started watching yoga videos and attending classes and then decided to become an instructor after she felt the positive benefits. "Emotionally you feel better and physically you feel better (after my class)," she said. "The type of yoga that we practice (improves) strength, flexibility, endurance, breath- i ing, relaxation. "One student wasn't sure it was worth six bucks, but has decided it is after all," Canfield said. "She thought it was going to be something really wimpy and after she got a serious workout and really felt it the next day." She said the course is designed so each student can work at his or her own level. "Every time you start a posture, only go as far as you're comfortable, only do what your body is willing to do and remember that the more you do it the better you get," she said.
