TRICARE Active duty dependents who reside with their TRICARE Prime Remote-eligibl- e sponsors can look forward to sig- nificant changes in their health care benefits. TRJCARE will temporarily implement a "waiver of charges" for these active duty family members as a way to minimize health care expenses until they will be eligible to enroll in the TRICARE Prime Remote program. out-of-pock- et The sponsor must live and work more than 50 miles or approximately one hour's drive from a military treatment facility. TRICARE Prime Remote family members should retain for their records, all copies of medical receipts, claims and Explanation of Benefits for claims with dates of service from Oct. 30, 2000. and later.
