We're grateful for your business, Thank you! -- Price Floral 60 West Main St. Christmas time is good food time FABULOUS FUDGE Slft Jiiyit, clf nUjU Western Auto Price, Utah In a bowl, place three packages of chocolate chips, 2 cups chopped walnuts, cup margarine or butter, 1 tsp. vanilla, and 34 large marshmallows. In a saucepan, place 4 cups of sugar and 1 large can of milk. Mix until dissolved. Boil 15 minutes, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Pour this mixture over ingredients in the bowl and stir until marshmallows melt. Pour into a buttered 10 x 15 pan. Chill, cut into squares and serve. Makes 5 z. pounds. CRANBERRY SALAD This salad will compliment your main dish, whether it is turkey or ham. Grind 1 pound fresh cranberries, or use a blender. Add IV2 cups sugar and allow to chill overnight. On the next day, add V2 package of small marshmallows, 1 cup of walnuts, 1 cup of chopped celery, and orange rind to taste. Just before serving add 1 pint whipping cream (whipped) and fold into it- - salad. Serves tblsp. sour cream cups of flour Break egg yolks into a large bowl, add sugar. Beat well. Add white wine. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to egg mixture. Mix well. Make a soft dough and work until it is smooth. Cut into two sections and roll one at a time, quite thin. Cut rolled dough into strips 2 inches wide and 3 inches long with fancy cutter or knife. Make a slit in the center of each strip and turn end of dough through opening. Fry in deep oil or shortening until lightly browned. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve. If you wish, cookies may be covered with warm honey and sprinkled with ground walnuts for variety. Makes 3 4 50 cookies. 6. V2 cup shortening IV2 cups sugar 3 cups sifted flour 3 tsp. baking powder V2 tsp. salt 1 cup milk V2 tsp. lemon extract 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten Cream shortening until light and fluffy. Add sugar and continue creaming. Alternately add the sifted dry ingredients and milk to which the lemon extract has been added, beating hard after each addition. Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour batter in two greased and floured tree pans. Bake 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Tint shredded coconut in a solution of 3 drops of green vegetable coloring and 2 tbls of water. Spread coconut on paper towel to dry. Frost.cake with your favorite white frosting and sprinkle with green coconut. Decorate with candied cherries and peppermint candies.
