Magliocco of 180 Roosevelt Street, Helper, received his discharge from the United States Army on February 6, 1946, at the Fort Douglas Separation center in Utah He held the rank of Technical Sergeant at the time of his discharge. Frank has served 19 months in the P.acific Teatre and is authorized to wear the Asiatic-Pacifi- c Theatre Ribbon with two battle stars, the Philippine Lib eration Medal, the American Theatre Ribbon, the Victory Ribbon, the Meritorious Service Award Patch and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a mem er of the 96th Division band and "Quintanes", vocal quintette which supplied entertainment to thousands ( PROMINENT VOCAL, & INSTRUMENT GROUP of troops. Prior to entering the Army o May 26, 1943, he was employed as a private secretary at Columbia Steel in Price. JOHN Saturday W. KOXTAS, son of Mr and Mrs Mike Kontas of Helper, was discharged from the United States Army on February 12, 1946 at the Fort Douglas Separation Center. He has served overseas and for his ac-- , tion is entitled to wear the Asiatic-- j Pacific Theatre of Operations Rib-- ! bon with three battle stars, Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Ribbon. They appeared along,.,wjth the 90th Division dance band in many shows during their 19 months of overseas duty in the Pacific theatre of operations. Prominent member of the "Quintones" was Frank Magliocco of Helper talented musician who recently received his discharge. All special arrangements for the quintet were done by Weldon C. Cole, Paris, Idaho. five-voice- As well as being fine vocalists all members of the quint are instrumentalists playing piano, clarinet, trumpet, trombone and bass fiddle. They appeared on a broadcast to the United States from Radio Okinawa which was sponsored by the National Broadcasting company. Downey was hostess to the members of the Thursday Afternoon Bridge Club when they met at Brownie's cafe, Price last week. Attending the event as special guest was Mrs Paul Gonzalez. A valentine theme was carried out in the decorations for the party. The dinner table was attractive with a large bouquet of red roses as its centerpiece and valentine place card. High score winners of the afternoon were Mr. James Bergera, Mr. James Bottino and Mrs A.R. Nielson.
