By virtue of a new ordmance, passed Nov. 13, and published in this issue of The Sentinel, Midvale city will be completely and thoroughly zoned as to future building and business activities. The law becomes effective on Dec. 14, 1947, 30 days after its passage by the city council. Citizens should read the ordinance, which appears on Pages 7 and 8, to acquaint themselv<>s of the many provisions which will regulate the construction of buildings in all sections of the city. According to the ordinance, the city has been divided into 3 residential districts, 1 agricultural district, 1 commercial district, and 2 industrial districts. Restrictions are placed on all types of buildings in the various 11reas, and the kinds of businesses that may operate in each district. The ordinance is the result of 2 years' study by the Midvale zoning commission, with George B Smeathe of Ogden, city planning expert, as a c«;msultant.
