Member of cA.round 'Town Wilh Edilh Jenson Lt Tel Charlier of the marines, has just arrived here to get his visiting seen to before getting on to Oceanside, Calif. He arrived here from Quantico, Va, and will stay until Nov 25. Tel is the son of Mr & Mrs George D Charlier of Sandy. Mrs J Henry Jensen and family moved Thursday to California, where Mr Jensen is employed. Louis Erdman Milne recently went to Casper, Wyo, to join her husband, Chloris (Swede) Milne, who is stationed there . . . but lo and behold, she was operated on for appendicitis the very next day after arriving! lar~e MOT~ER EARTH/ • Associated Grocers Assn. A train accident proved to be quite serious, resulting in the "loss of her left leg, and we are all hoping to see her home again soon. Mr & Mrs Zack Brown also had a 2-fold celebration last Friday . . . their wedding anniversary, and their son, Ray's birthday. Ray, who is stationed in Texas, could not be home for celebrating, but be contacted the folks by tele-phone, and all congratulations were exchanged. the first of December. They have been stationed at Treasure Island, Calif. Clinton is the son os Mr & Mrs C F Esperson. Mr & Mrs Ernest Silcox of West Jordan have announced the coming marriage of their daughter, Joyce, to Glen Burkinshaw, of Sandy. They will be married on Nov 25 in the L D S temple, and a reception will be held at the Hyrum Jensen home in their honor. University of Utah students, sports fans, and scores of friends were grieved to hear the news that Joe Gabardl, of 3349-20th East passed away Sunday morning. He was a graduate of Granite high school, and the University of Utah, and was taking postgraduate work for his master's degree at the time of his death. Mr & Mrs Roy Jenkins are still pretty elated over their new baby daughter . , . and its rumored she will be named Linda. Gene Fox flew home from Washington, Dr C, in full glory as a marine lieutenant. He is here .for a leave, and will go to his new station in California about the 27th of November. First Lt Morrill Shepherd is here visiting with his family before proceeding to his new station. He has been in Puerto Rico. Mr & Mrs R R Gilbert were hosts Nov 11 at a birthday party in honor of their daughter, Faye. Storekeeper 1 ;C & Mrs Clinton Esperson are here with their young son, David, for a visit until Mr & Mrs Zupan, on Center street are going to be busy taking care of their family of boys Plenty of Parking Space. ANDERSON Funeral services for Wallace C Anderson, who died suddenly at his home in Sandy, following a heart attack, were held Saturday at 3 p m at Sandy First ward chapel, with W H Bartlett of the bishopric officiating. The preliminary organ prelude was by Mrs Roxie N Rich; invocation, Reverl Allsop of Salt Lake City; vocal duet, "In the Garden,'' L E Van Dam and daughter, Mrs La Nome McCleary; remarks, Frank Fisher, president of the company with whom Mr Anderson was employed; organ solo, Mrs Roxie N Rich; remarks, C Earl Alsop, of Salt Lake .City; closing remarks, \V H Bartlett; vocal solo, oeThe End of a Perfect Day," Mrs Beth Sorenson; benediction, Evan 0 Jensen. Interment was in the Sandy city cemetery, where the dedication of the grave was by Bert Hocking of Bingham.
