Show ~------------------------.· Community Cannery ,Urged By Draper Club FOR VALUES \ TRADE I A meeting was held at the Draper school house Saturday night to consider possibilities of installing a canning and refrigeration plant for the community on a cooperative basis. A committee consisting of James Wight, Ross Ballard and Robert Smith, recently appointed by the Draper Civic club to investigate possibilities of such a plant, reported on the advantages of such an enterprise for the community, showing how similar cooperatives about the state operate. On a motion from the meeting the report of the committee was accepted and steps were taken to begin a canvass of the community preparatory to installing a plant for canning and refrigeration. President Alma F. Smith who presided at the meeting was empowered to appoint four new members to work with the committee in beginning the survey of the town. Special speakers of the Utah Power and Light company were present to explain the operation of refrigeration plants and answer questions of those present at the meeting.
