The City's portion of the said improvements, to be paid for from the General Fund, is estimated at $345.00. The portion of said improvement to be paid for by local assessment is estimated at $5975.73. The tax before referred to is assessed on all real estate abutting the improvements before described, and for-th full depth of each lot or portion, extending along and by said improvements. Said tax is levied to defray the expenses of constructing the said concrete sidewalks, together with everything therewith connected, abutting the property hereinbefore described, and to be especially affected and benefited by said improvements; and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established all of said property abutting said improvements will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and the said parcels of land are hereby assessed at a uniform rate of $1.15 per linear foot for 4-inch walks and $1.36 per linear foot for 6-inch walks in accordance with the linear feet frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting or abutting upon said improvements, and to the full depth of all lots or portions affected. That the total cost of said improvements and the cost per front foot of said sidewalks is in accordance with the written contract entered into for the performance of said work by Midvale City with J. L. Griffith, dated the 13th day of May, 1930; and the Treasurer of Midvale City is hereby authorized and directed to assess and collect said taxes in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance and with law in such cases made and provided Section 2. Said taxes shall become delinquent as follows: One-fifth of the total amount shall be delinquent in one year after the lavy of such assessments is made; one-fifth of the total amount shall be delinquent in two year~ after the levy of such assessment is made; one-fifth of the total amount shall be delinquent in three years after the levy of such assessment is made; onefifth of th total amount shall be delinquent in four years after the levy of such assessment is made; one-fifth of the total amount shall be delinquent in five years after the levy of such assessment is made. All said asseBBments shall draw interest at the rate of six per cent per annum from the time of levying the aforesaid tax until the same shall become delinquent, and after all of the installments before mentioned shall become delinquent, interest at the rate of 12 per cent per annum shall be paid thereon. In the event of any installment or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the date the same becomes due, the whole of the special tax unpaid at the time said Installment and the interest thereon are due, shall bcome due and payable and shall bear interes t at the rate of 12 per cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed; provided that one or more installments in the order In which they are payable, or the whole special tax unpaid, may be paid on the date any installment becomes due by paying the amount thereof and the interest before said date. Section 3. This ordinance shall tal'e effect upon approval by the Mayor and one day after publication. I further testify that on the 18th day of December, I had a full, true and correct copy of said ordinance printed in the Midvale Journal, a weekly paper published in Midvale City, Utah.
