Morning and afternoon bus tours were scheduled to give spouses a better idea of the variety of Hill facilities. kmllk Tours, music and a picnic were part of the Spouse Appreciation Day activities held for Hill spouses May 9. The day began with coffee and juice at the Officers Club, followed by a welcome from Judy Condon, wife of Maj. Gen. Pat Condon, Ogden Air Logistics Center commander. Visitors had their choice of tour areas: the Minuteman III and Peacekeeper launch facilities; the Flight Operations Control Tower and Weather Facilities; the 388th Fighter Wing flight simulator; an explosive ordnance disposal demonstration; or the aircraft repair line; bead blast; and laser automated facilities. decoating I '1 A picnic was held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Centennial Park where entertainment was provided by the Layton High Jazz Band. Other sources of entertainment were provided by Civil Engineering's EOD robot and fire truck; 75th Medical Group's health and wellness exhibit and moulage demonstration; application 75th Security Police's K-- 9 team and a radarlaser demonstration. The day was free except for the $2 cost of the picnic. Those who participated said they enjoyed themselves and liked the idea of a day being set aside for spouses to become acquainted with their partner's workplace. 0 (Above) Visitors saw the Explosive Ordnance Disposal robot which is used in situations considered too dangerous for humans.
