Edwin E. Tenoso, AMC vice commander, will become commander, 21st Air Force, McGuire AFB, N.J. replacing Lt. Gen. Malcolm B. Armstrong, who retires. Maj. Gen. Charles T. Robertson, vice director and director of management, the Joint Staff, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C., has been nominated for promotion to lieutenant general and assignment as vice commander AMC. Tenoso has been vice commander of AMC since October 1994. Prior to coming to AMC, he was director of operations, deputy chief of staff, plans and operations. Headquarters Air Force, Washington, 111. D.C. Robertson is a graduate of the Air Force Academy. His experience includes assignments as assistant deputy chief of staff for plans and resources. Strategic Air Command; commander of two bombardment wings; and director, personnel plans, deputy chief of staff. Headquarters Air Force. Washington, D.C. Armstrong retires from the Air Force with more than 31 years of service. He has been the commander of 21st AF since May 1992. Prior to McGuire, Armstrong was assigned as vice commander in chief.
