'It's especially exciting for me to be with the men and women of the Aircraft Directorate again," said Smith, former director of maintenance at Ogden ALC. "It makes me proud and honored to serve with heroes like the ones represented here tonight," said Smith. Speaking about the many changes faced by the Air Force today, Smith said, "One thing is certain: our Air Force will remain absolutely the best air force the world has ever known and that's because of its people people like those of you in the Aircraft Directorate.
