The aircraft outside of Hangar 25 are undergoing post-phas- e inspection checkouts that require engine runs to ensure there are no leaks in the aircraft systems. These aircraft will usually be run at idle power and will not exceed the 85 percent power setting threshold. In the event an engine requires an operational checkout that must exceed 85 percent, or that will occur between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 6 a.m., then the aircraft run is done in a hush house. Towing every aircraft requiring an engine run to a hush house would quickly create a backlog. Only two hush houses belong to the 388th FW. The other completed hush house belongs to the 419th FW and the one under construction belongs to Ogden ALC. The wing does attempt to minimize noise problems. However, flight line operations are inherently noisy, especially for personnel working in facilities located on or near runways, taxiways or aircraft parking areas. The wing regrets any inconvenience and I assure you workers keep all engine runs to an absolute minimum. 11 Fraud, Waste and Abuse (recording) 649th Medical Group Civil Engineering Public Affairs Military Housing Maintenance Safety Office commander 1 50 Morale, Welfare and Recreation Base Restaurants RetirementCompensation (civilian) Social Action Employee Relations Military Pay Civilian Pay Air Force Suggestion Program IG Complaints (for appointment) Hush the planes three hush houses and a fourth Q Security Police Office-Visio- n 4 . if you have a complaint or a problem with their services: make Hill AFB a bet- Ogden 13 Hilltop Times the employee's health, or the retention of a desirable employee.
