Show Supplement to the Hilltop Times April 30, 1992 as fop At the base NCO Club on April 3 they wore their best, toasted the best and honored our best. The Hill AFB annual Enlisted Recognition Banquet was a smashing success. This evening of "putting on the Ritz" was to honor the top enlisted on base. The nominees were honored with a wonderful meal and graced by the Air Force Strolling Strings, who provided a multidimensional musical experience prior to the announcement of the winners. The top 419th Fighter Wing enlisted named outstanding efforts during operations Desert ShieldStorm earned her 68th APS Senior NCO of the Year for 1991. From October to December 1991, she won the Senior Enlisted NCO of the Quarter at 446th Military Airlift Wing, McChord AFB, Wash. Korogi is married with one daughter. She helps out with her daughter's Brownie Troop, participates in squadron quarterly visits to Primary Children's Hospital and has volunteered are: Top senior NCO MSgt. Robin L. Korogi is an information management specialist assigned to the 68th Aerial Port Squadron here, Born at Eglin AFB, Fla., she attended various Department of Defense high schools and graduated from Roy High in June 1980. Following graduation from high school, Korogi was employed as a data transcriber for the Internal Revenue Service. After three months she transferred to a clerk-typiposition at Hill. One year later she entered the civilian personnel career field and held various positions. In May 1985 she transferred to the Defense Mapping Agency, where she solely performed the personnel officer duties for two years. She is currently employed at Hill as a management assistant. Korogi enlisted in the Air Force Reserve Program in 1983. She attended basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas, and performed training at Hill. Upon the conversion of the administration position to an Air Reserve Technician slot, Korogi retrained as an air transportation specialist. She was later selected to fill the vacant chief of administration position st on-the-j- in 1985. Korogi began her college education at Weber State University and completed a bachelor's degree in management at Park College. Geoffrey Blake Cox is an individual mobilization augmentee assigned to the Air Terminal Operations Center of the Ogden Air SSSaf i4 r 4 f j Logistics Center. Cox, a native of Butler, Pa., was raised in Salt Lake City. He graduatmm ed from Brighton High School, where I". he was selected as the "Utah Student of the Year" with a scholarship in marketing. He was involved in the Top Senior NCO Distributive Education Clubs of America and lettered in tennis. He MSgt. Geoffrey Blake Cox and wife, Cheryl. attended Utah Technical College in Salt Lake City under his marketing scholarship and went on to graduate from Park College in 1990 with a bachelor of science degree in management. He also obtained an associate's degree in logistics of the Air through the Community College '"" Force. i fin 1 AmIV After enlisting in 1972, Cox was assigned as an inventory management specialist with the 2952nd Combat Logistics Support Squadron. He was assigned additional duties as the ii squadron complaints project officer, and Keflavik of bench AB, stock at NCOIC Iceland. Transferring to the Air Force Reserve in 1980, Cox was assigned to the 405th CLSS, as an inventory management instructor. He joined the Mobilization Augmentee program as an Air Terminal Operations Center specialist, working as a duty officer and transportation instructor. V 3fl Blandford's hobbies include scuba diving and Korogi was named the Air Force Reserve's Out- Information Senior automobile Enlisted restoration. He has been awarded the Managerstanding Staff Support for 1991. She also received honors as Salt Lake City "Auto-Rama- " Chrysler Division 4th Air Force Senior Enlisted NCO of the Year. Robin Korogi and husband, Steve. Top airman SrA. Eddie P. Blandford is a carpentry specialist assigned to the 419th Civil Engineering Squadron. Blandford was born in Kissimmee, Fla. While attending Uintah High School in VerTop Airman nal, Utah, he was involved in academic, SrA. Eddie Blandford and wife, Joni. social and athletic activities. He lettered in football and was involved with the Automotive Trades Education Program. He was presi dent of the Vocational Industrial Club of America, president of the Goodwrench Club, and was awarded the Rotarian "Automotive Excellence Award" when he graduated in 1981. Blandford joined the 419th CES in 1989 at the age of 26 because of a desire to serve his country and be part of the military. He quickly ob- tained his job skills through training in his current unit. In the short time he has been with the Air Force Reserve, he has earned the Marksmanship Medal and the Air Force Achievement Medal. During his first annual tour, he contributed significantly to the success of the 419th CES deployment to on-the-j- Top NCO 'J Honduras. " |
