The Falcons encountered a determined Clinton 10th team who wanted the win, but couldn't put away Hill ex15-perience, The Falcons did the job in two sets, but not before the team in the cellar gave them a serious challenge. And Clinton played the match with a fur; ther handicap only five of their six players showed up for the match. "We weren't as high to play this game as we should have been. It was obvious from the start," said Varsity Coach Rick Garbett. Playoffs get under way Tuesday as the Falcons take the opening spike against the same Clinton team at 6 p.m. in the double elimination tournament. "We have to be at the top of our game every time we take the court. If we're hitting on all cylinders, we're going to be a tough team to beat. I'm hoping that we can at least finish in third place." However, the Falcons will be without the services of frontline hitter Phyllis Mannion who will be going on a permanent change Of station. Hill will get a new cast member to their lineup. Nadine Wormsbacher, who is a setter, will rejoin the team after being on a temporary duty assignment. for nonmembers.
