AFB. Any Hill AFB has been invited to compete in the Second Annual Corporate Olympics against other northern Utah organizations and corporations. The event is set for May e 1. will be staged in racquetball, a Competition roa.rf race, d bike relay race, an relay d mixed obstacle race, course, relay rjfc,d dash, a relay race in swimming, and a design contest. Base units are encouraged to enter teams which may be comprised of military members, civilian employees or a combination. Teams must have at least four members, two of whom must be female. Each team must compete in each scheduled event, and no team member may participate in more than four events. Each team must pay a $200 entry fee, with the proceeds going toward the purchase of equipment for St. Benedict's Hospital. Units with teams or the participating team members will be responsible for paying their entry fees. Women's slowpitch softball registration under way The Civilian Recreation Center is sponsoring a women's slowpitch softball league this summer with play beginning June 7. Participation is open to active duty military, retirees, DOD civilian employees, and their dependents. Teams may submit applications now through May 23. Completed applications must be returned to the Civilian Recreation Center, Bldg. 564, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Registration forms are available at the Recreation Center or Hess Gymnasium, Bldg. 520. Entry fee will be based on the number of games played, officials, and cost of the awards. Total cost to each team will be announced during the coachesmanagers meeting May 29 at 4:30 p.m. in the Thornton Recreation Center, Bldg. 460. Disabled veterans prepare for games Veterans Administration and Paralyzed Veterans of America will sponsor the fifth annual National Veterans Wheelchair Games Aug. 0 at the University of Maryland campus near Washington D.C. The games are open to all military service veterans who are wheelchair-boun- d due to spinal cord certain injuries, neurological problems and ampu8-1- . tations.
