Show HILL TOP TIMES Friday, November 30, 1984 31 Special holiday meal available to civilian employees The Civilian Nonappropriated Funds Advisory-Councilin conjunction with the Base Restaurant, will sponsor a special Christmas dinner Dec. 3 at all restaurant locations. Dinner will be served for the day shift between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m and in Bldg. 230 from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Graveyard shift personnel can obtain the special dinner at Bldg. 230 Dec. 14 between 1 and 2:30 a.m. All appropriated and nonappropriated Hill AFB civilian employees are eligible to participate. Military, military dependents, and contractor personnel are not eligible. , 12-1- Interest rates lowered The Veterans Administration has reduced the maximum interest rate on home loans from 13.5 percent to l3 percent effective Oct. 22. The half-poidrop will lower the monthly payment on a new loan of $65,000 by $25. The VA has also reduced to 13.25 percent the maximum rate for graduated payment mortgages. Home improvement loans were lowered to a maximum rate of 14.5 percent. In addition, rates for mobile home loans were reduced to 15.5 percent without a lot, or 15 percent with a lot. "With inflation clearly down and a growth rate that is holding well, this further reduction is clearly warranted,' said VA administrator Harry N. This ticket and $2.25 will entitle the civilian participant to a Christmas dinner of turkey or ham with all the trimmings, including a medium drink, tea or coffee, and dessert. The following ground rules apply: Each division or branch within an organization will be responsible for picking up tickets for all their eligible employees on the above dates at the Civilian Recreation Center, Bldg. 564. One memo is sufficient for tickets for the entire division. Cash will not 28-3- 0. be given in lieu of authorization tickets. Each organization will be responsible for distributing one ticket per employee prior to Dec. 12. The $1 ticket and $2.25 must be surrendered to the Base Restaurant cashier as the participant goes through the cafeteria line and purchases the meal. Tickets are valid for the special meal only. Tick- ets will not be honored for cash or for any other pur- chase, such as candy, cigarettes or ice cream.
