A total of 64 men and women participated in the event and 63 finished the course. Eleven teams with five members per team participated in the team competition. The winner of the men's (30 and under) division was Gregg Hyde who also turned in the fastest time of 29 minutes, 36 seconds for the 4.5 mile course. Other winners were: men's (over 30) division, Jock Glidden; female (30 and under) division, Annette Gallant; and in the female (over 30) division, Lai Orenduff, who also turned in the best time for all female competitors.
