The theme for this year's symposium was "Space For New Frontiers" and featured speakers were Gil Moore from Morton Thiokol; Maj. Gen. John Paul Hyde, deputy chief of staff for communications, electronics and computer resources for the Air Force Space Command; Richard Bracheem, vice president, Martin Marietta; Alan McDonald, director, Space Shuttle solid rocket motor program, Morton Thiokol; Maj. Gen. Jack L. Walkins, commander, 1st Strategic Aerospace Division, Strategic Air Command, Vandenberg AFB, Calif.; and Neville Barten, director, communications space technology group, TRW.
