The Primary children sang three song's, then Jared Gaff gave a tribute to the mothers, Heather Albrecht and Brady Eyre also spoke. The men's chior sang a beautiful song directed by LaNae Marshall and accompanied by Elenore Marshall. Jack McMullin gave a tribute to his wife and mother, then Dale Eyre spoke It was a nice program, then the Sunday School gave plants to the mothers, and those who were not there they took them to their homes. Vie and Tex Marshall and Wayne and Merle Gillins drove to Hurricane to spend the after noon with their mother Vie and Milt Jolley. Their sister Mary Clark was also there, she is from Salt Lake City. The Minersville Auxiliary served a very delicious lunch at the Stock Show and done fairly well. Karl and Phyllis Truman were in Salt Lake last week for three days, Phylllis was on Town business, and Karl was on other business. Derrek Bedingfield spent a couple of days with his grandparents. Wilma and Dace Davis over the weekend. Wood and Melba Dorothy Marshall hosted the Library Club at Dorothy's home. Lynnia Marshall showed a film. As a small girl Virginia lived in Holden and ran the Cobblestone Front Garage. During the war they ran out of tires and gas, and had to move th Salt Lake. Virginia met Jay at a dance in Fillmore, and they were latter married. Jay worked as a blacksmith, and took care of a service station in Salt Lake until they moved to Milford. Virginia's Birthday was May 10th, and she received many nice cards and phone calls from her family. Virginia you are a very special person. Happy Birthday Virginia. , 4 Missionary friends. Peggy and Don Breinholt went to Salt Lake to attend a UJJL Convention for the library for three days. Also a library board meeting was held in Minersville May l(Kh. Eva Davis went to Salt Lake with Kathy Davis to take her children for medical attention. Reta Hugh held Bonco Club at the cafe last week. Wayne 4 Merle Gillins attended the blessing of their first greatgrandchild on Sunday, May 1, 1980. He was given the name Jordan Brett Hutchings. His parents are Brett k Ronda Hutchings of Beaver, Utah. Lack of moisture and cold temperatures have taken its ton. Our golf course Is no exception -our greens have really suffered. Last week the golf dub members and the city employees put in a the five hard days work greens damaged by the winter Extra care is being taken to keep the newly planted greens moist, thus encouraging new growth. We hope everyone going out to golf wiD be espedallycareful around the replanted greens. If all goes well in a few weeks our greens will be better than ever and a Joy to golf on. But for now golfers will have to use the ptemorary greens set up for thier benefit while the new grass is trying to take hold. S C ' jsT it Smart The Milford Maulers, Milf ords Freestyle wrestling Team, did very well last weekend at the Sholon Invitational Wrestling Tournament Milf ords team wrestled very hard and managed to bring home 1 Gold Medal, 5 Silver Medals, and one Bronze Medal Milford had f wrestlers in the Finals. Wrestlers making the trip were: Duke Barnes, Jake Bonrtn, Lynn Steven ' Florence, Florence, Jeremy Schow, Rang! Smart, Regan Smart, Rocky Smart, Roman Smart and Tug Thompson. This coming week the maulers win be traveling to and competing in the very tough SCWA Wrestling Tournament at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California.
